abiral good one!
Of course it is a good news. I do hope that the parliament would put the issue of monarchy on vote sooner the better.
that was the bad joke abiral, you are not taking it on right way, these are the serious matter which will lead nepal to the future.
Intended to you, who live in Katmandu.
Will the people stay quiet in their house tomorrow morning, or will they think that, a few steps ahead, the king would leave on the nose of one american helicopter?
By the way, where to? Rangoon looks the best place…
America and India are interested by a quiet situation, not by the happiness of nepali people
THAT’S WHY THEY PUSHED FOR THIS COMPROMISE.
Anyway, these 15 days will live for a long time in the mind of the nepali people!
Once the people have been in the streets, and have found out that their voices can be listened, they love it, and usually they won’t go back home so easily!
CHEERS TO ALL THE NEPALI PEOPLE WHO HAVE BEEN FIGHTING DURING ALL THESE DAYS!
Cyp, do you remember J.P. from old T.A.?
Can I join you somehow?
You all seem to forget the brutal and true face of this monarch…how quickly you forget and forgive!! Here, again, Dr. Biran Cobb’s plea for an end to monarchy: http://66.116.151.85/?p=3236 (mirror site of http://www.insn.org, which has been banned in Nepal)
well thats end of jana andolan part II. now king has given balls back to SPA, hope they play it bit carefully. LOL
good night.
It ain’t over till the FAT lady sings!

From this forum I would like to address the seven party alliance to take care of the families of the people who have given there life form this.
I would like to make aware the goverment that the family of the martyres has to be faciliated
JC
who’s the fat lady?
An amazing photo blog from recent protests in nepal. look at these photos and remember, DO NOT FORGET WHO CAUSED THEM. KING GYANENDRA. HE COULD HAVE STOPPED THIS FOUR YEARS AGO. HE WAITED UNTIL HE KNEW HE WAS DOOMED. IS THIS THE KIND OF KING YOU WANT??? AND DO YOU REALLY BELIEVE THE MAOISTSS ARE JUST GOING TO GIVE UP THEIR DEMAND FOR A PEOPLE’S REPUBLIC SO EASILY? IF YOU DO YOU ARE FOOLING YOURSELVES.

I salute to Nepali People for their brave and courage for bringing change in Nepal.
Congratulations to the Nepali people on a job well done. May the courage, wisdom and bravery that have led to this victory also see through the constituent assembly and make it a success.
People always have the last word!
This is the silver-lining around the ongoing terror and chaos. It’s people’s power with all the might and the right!
It’s democracy! Hope we can keep it.
Forever!
I think this is only first step to full democracy.
We hope that leaders would rise to the occasion and show the right path for the Nepalese democracy. We have to see how they are going to work from Friday. They must come up with unanimous name of a PM and they should form the government immdiately without loosing time.
First they shold amend the cluase of the Constitution which says that the King is the Supreme Commander in Chief of the Army. This post should go to the PM. The other thing they can do is to change the name of RNA to Nepali National Army. For Friday, they should do the above mentioned things only and for the rest they can do step by step.
Good thinking layman. I only hope that the political leaders don’t go back to their old ways and morph into mad monkeys yet again. The country really needs their leadership now… never did I imagine I would be supporting Girija Koirala… but what to do?
Congratulations Nepali borhters and sisters!!!!
Your sacrifice paid off.
We must call it a revolution, way higher than 2046!
Peaceful demonstration conquered the guns.
Nepalese at every nook and corner of the country know now what their sovereignty is. Political awarenesss has spread around.
I am confident that no dictator or a cunning leader dare to cheat the people anymore.
Long live democracy!
Long live our martyrs!
We need to breakdown the statues of those criminal/dictators around the country and build the ones for our martyrs.
Same thing should apply to the cover pictures in our school text books.
Our Nation anthem stinks “maharajadirako….; borama halera bagmatima bagai deu”‘ We need to change it today. Can anybody draft one please.
It’s like going full circle! History has a weird way of making an appearance. Old Girija leading again! God, no! I wish neither girija, nor sher bahadur, or Madhav but a younger Nepali parliamentarian is chosen as the next PM.
Give a fresh new blood a chance!
make sure that 205 representative do not take salary for last four years. make sure that constitutional assemby will hold. Make sure that RNA will no longer will be RNA but just NA and will be under house of representative or primeminister. Make sure that People can kick king any time they like. Tha’s it guys. Don’t worry about leaders if they can not do other will come.
Me too, what we can do ? What we have our disposal are these greedy vultures who could not show us the right path from the very beginning since 1990. we need a person who is a visionary and enlightening leader otherwise we have to repent again in the near future.
I am very much worried about the new generation of people. It was unfortunate that we lost our 15 precious years of democracy fighting with each other.I hope these leaders now learn from the punishment they got from KG. But Nepali society is such that it is based on NAATABAAD , KRIPAABAAD, PHARIYABAAD and CORRUPTION.All these might restart from the day one from these leaders. We should not be too pessimistic.
Anyway, Let us hope for the best.
Hope the people’s new political awareness will be able to threat these —BADs to diminish.
Congratulations everyone!! Now the real test begin from here…As this is the end of one chapter and starting of new one…So every step should be taken carefully…1 mistake and all hard earned freedom is gone, again..and we definately don’t want that…So wish you all luck and BE brave, specially the leaders…TAke the right decision for us..
PEOPLE POWER RULES!!
I fully support shadowrati
IS KAMAL THAPA MEMBER OF PARLAMENT? I THINK HE IS? WHAT WILL THE NEW CABINET DO ABOUT HIM..
So he did crack….
Faster than I expected him to however. But trust me, our friend Kamal Thapa is very quickly going to make himself a ‘democrat’ again.
Shirish Rana and Sachit Rana are probably going to leave the country.
Read this, it’s brilliant.
wtf?? why do you want to moderate that????
I agree with Shadowrati. People do seem to forget and forgive so easily.
It would be very sad if GPK came back into power.
And Glade is definitely correct in saying that the old ‘democracy’ failed because the people failed it. There cannot be democracy until the monarchy has ended. As long as this constitution prevails, Nepal is no where near a real democracy.
The life of this parliament should not be more than a couple of months during which the parliament should bring the RNA under parliament, fire and punish all the security heads who are responsible for suppressing people’s movement, change the constitution with the 2/3 majority to make way for constitutional asembly, declare ceasefire, talk with maoists and declare CA elections. People should decide the fate of SPA,monarchy and maoist. I am also suspicious about our leaders as well because the king might want to buy our reps and the reps too might betray the people for money. Rember it needs 2/3 to change the constitution. That said, I still do have little hope that SPA leaders will do the right things because the crowd was too big to ignore!
Peace
Roshan:
I hate the SPA leaders. Especially Deuba and Girija. And I HATE THAT BITCH Sujata Koirala who stole so much money and abused authority while Girija Babu was in power! I swear I wish I could publicly lynch her.
However, we don’t have a younger generation of parlimentarians. Yes we have some leaders like Gagan Thapa who could become leaders in the future but right now we are left with Girija etc. al.
Good morning Nepal,
