Chitta Bahadur Thapa, 42, of Tanahun District’s Ghashikuwa-9, Tamung lost his left leg when Maoists took physical action against him six years ago. Thapa used to survive money earned via daily labor. Sushila lost consciousness hearing the news the death of her husband, 50-year-old Sahadev Sharma, in an indiscriminate Wednesday firing by police upon a crowd that was peacefully celebrating Holi, the festival of color and water. Plainclothes policemen opened fire without giving prior notice. The incident took place near Hanumab Temple, east of Tribenimode at Nepalgunj-4. Guess who moves around in a helicopter? Guess what class of people can afford to take a flight? Guess what people use the highway? Perhaps Comrade B should go back to JNU! Perhaps both of you need re-education. You are not supposed to be harming or hurting the common people! Or is that what you guys are really aiming for? Who is the puppet and tool of whom?
Chitta Bahadur is just one of many examples of Maoists’ liberation of common Nepali. Many of who have been slaughtered like goat by the Maoists demons. Anybody who thinks that only the murdering and torturing the innocents make people life better is just a murderous lunatic.
For Maoists they are just collateral damages. If somebody mentions these things to Baburam he starts parroting their mantras like:
”you can’t make omelette without breaking eggs..”
”you must go through labor pain…”
“every revolution has its sacrifices…”
”taking the head of a wound is painful…”
“you can’t kill the snake without breaking the stick…”
after that he finishes with “now everybody is informed”.
In truth this Maoist issue is diverting the real issues this country faces. Poverty, corruption, discrimination of indigenous people, nepotism, economic stagnation, casteism, sexism, infrastructure development, health, population control, bureaucratic reform, judicial reform, educational reform, land reform…the real issues, and there are so much more, will they ever, ever be addressed? This sinking feeling is not at all nice!

I am a tourist and I will travel to Nepal on the 30th of March. Is it likely that it will be absoluteley impossible for me to get to the Annapurna region because of the Maoist blockade? How big is the chance that I will be stuck in Kathmandu during my stay in Nepal? And how big is the chance of the blockade being disrupted?
Thank you very much for thoughts or recommendations about westerners travelling to Nepal during this period of unrest.
Thank UWB for pictures of atrocities of MBs. They are violating OUR BASIC HUMAN RIGHT TO LIVE AND OUR RIGHT TO WORK. All Nepalis already know their acts of violence and faced their atrocities. Still such pictures exposes them more nationaly and internationaly.

What the hell are the Maoist upto?? Firing at the Ambulance. This is what they called people’s war?? Changing their views from time to time. First of all they are targeting the political parties and saying nothing about Royal family or against Monarchy. Now it seems that they are against Monarchy and with political parties. DO they have any concrete resolution to fight for?? NOOOOOO.
They are simply trying to earn money from extortion, rather then working hard?? Only thing is that all the people fighting for Maoist and supporting maoist must be killed with utter brutality such that people think 10 times before they want to join the the maoist force. The only way to do that is the reconciliation between the King and the Political parties and targeting Maoist with the help of international community. Every one should know that any agreement with the maoist without they giving up the weapons is a sucide as they will ditch everyone when they have acheived their goal.
Again attacking an ambulance, a person who has to work daily for his food is a display of cowardness.
