UWB received this statement from Maheswor Shrestha of NESOCA Nepal.
Newar Solidarity Campaign Nepal
Statement
With conspiracies and stratagems, the feudal and regressive elements crushed in October 2002 the limited democracy brought about in Nepal with the sacrifice of hundreds of people in the 1990 United People’s Movement. Nepal is now entailing the dictatorial and repressive regime of the absolute monarchy that emerged with the backing of military in February 2005. A United People’s Peaceful Movement has been waged on April 6, 2006 for democracy and against the regime which, with the rampant misuse of military forces, has come down heavily upon the movement by seriously injuring thousands and killing several demonstrators. Newar Solidarity Campaign Nepal (NESOCA Nepal) strongly opposes and vehemently condemns the brutal and savage suppression of the demonstrators by the regime and strongly demands with it (1) to immediately put an end to such cruel suppression, (2) to adequately and immediately indemnify those killed and injured in the movement, and (3) to release without delay all political prisoners including Newar leaders Padma Ratna Tuladhar, Malla K. Sunder, Rajendra Shrestha, Navin Chitrakar, Shyam Shrestha, Dr. Mathura P. Shrestha, Shambhu B. Shrestha and others arrested in the movement. As liberation, equality and autonomy for discriminated nationalities can be had only in democracy, NESOCA Nepal expresses its hearty solidarity with the ongoing movement. NESOCA Nepal also strongly demands with the agitating Seven-Party Alliance and other forces of the movement to make a public announcement without delay that the objective of the movement is also to restructure Nepal into a federal state with freedom, equality and autonomy for all indigenous nationalities.
We Newars are the nationality which has been the victim of the meanest discriminative and the severest repressive policy of the state since 1769 AD. A large number of Newars, who knew that national liberation and equality can be had only in democracy, had taken active part in the 1940, 1950, 1980 and 1990 people’s uprisings; Shukra Raj Joshi, Dharma Bhakta Mathema, Ganga Lal Shrestha and several other Newars who never knew to bow down to injustice and atrocity had accepted martyrdom. Famous with the name of Iron Man, Newar leader late Ganesh Man Singh was the all-accepted leader and the supreme commander of the 1990 United People’s Movement. NESOCA Nepal calls on all Newar community members to recall their glorious history of struggle and to join in the United People’s Movement ongoing all over the country for democracy wherein national liberation, equality and autonomy can be achieved. We also urge our community members to make open-heart donations to support treatment of those injured in the movement due to suppression by the atrocitious regime.

Press Statement
The meeting of the topmost leaders of the seven political parties is held today in the afternoon in Kathmandu. The decisions of the meeting are made public through this communiqué:
1. The peaceful joint movement launched under the leadership of the seven political parties for an end of the autocratic monarchy and for the establishment of full-fledged democracy is becoming more effective and forceful. It is our conclusion that only the joint peaceful mass movement can fulfill the objective of the ongoing movement. In this movement, the participation of broad masses of the people including the leaders and activists of political parties, mass organizations, media workers, professional and community organizations and human rights workers has been widening. In the course of the movement six brave persons has got martyrdom. Thousands of people are arrested and wounded. We pay our heartfelt homage to the martyrs and extend our thanks to all those who have participated in the movement. We cordially appeal to all workers, peasants, women, youths, students, intellectuals, civil servants, employees of all public and financial institutions, teachers, university teachers, doctors, engineers, industrialists, business person, journalists, human rights workers, writers, litterateurs, artists and brothers and sisters of all caste, language, religion and region to participate more effectively in a peaceful and non-violent way in the movement.
2. We vehemently condemn the brutal repression and killing of the autocratic regime and express our high respect to the immortal martyrs of the mass movement. We reiterate our commitment that the government formed after the establishment of the democracy shall erect the statue of the martyrs, provide education and employment to the members of the martyrs and shall take appropriate steps for the persons mutilated during the movement.
3. We would like to cordially appeal to all hospitals, nursing homes and health centers and health workers to provide treatment either free of charge or in concession to the wounded sick persons caused due to the government’s suppression during the ongoing movement. We would like to assure that the democratic government shall pay all expenses made by all health centers during the movement.
4. The regressive royal regime is threatening to take action against the employees taking part in the democratic movement. We appeal to all employees to participate in the movement without fear discarding all those undemocratic and anti-people orders of the autocratic royal regime. We would like to express our commitments that all the employees who are either expelled or victimized shall be reinstated unconditionally with an honor and the right to the trade union shall be established after the restoration of democracy.
5. We express our commitment that all those industrialists taking part in the democratic movement shall be exempted from the bank interest for the period of the movement by the democratic government and the government shall bear the liability arising there from.
6. We seven agitating political parties are also in favor of the welfare and prosperity of the army and police. We believe that they are for the service of the people. However, the present regressive royal regime is trying to protect itself and fulfil its vested interest using the security forces for the suppression of the peaceful mass movement. Therefore, we would like to urge to all security forces to refrain from resorting to suppression against the movement. We have directed to all local committee of the seven parties to keep record and collect the names of those who have resorted to brutal suppression. against the mass movement. We would like to make it clear that the government established after the restoration of democracy shall take stern action against those involved in the suppression on the participants of the peaceful movement.
7. At present, the autocratic royal government is hatching the conspiracy to turn the movement violent and bloody planting plain cloths armed security personnel and state protected vigilantes intending to link up the movement with the violence while the peaceful movement is reaching at its climax. It is evidently seen from the incident in Nepalgunj the other day where the United Nations human rights workers caught the security personnel with proof. We have received information about similar incidents from different parts of the country. We would like to request to the people to continue their cooperation and beg pardon for the inconvenience caused due to the on going program of general strike at this historical juncture while the mass movement is heading towards a success.
8. There can be no permanent peace in the country unless the end of autocracy and establishment of full-fledged democracy. We have made a 12-point understanding with the Nepal Communist Party (Maoist) ( November 22, 2005 and March 19, 2006) to bring permanent peace and to restore democracy in the country ending the present conflict. Accordingly, we are fully honest and committed to resolve the present conflict through the peaceful mass movement. We are fully confident that this objective can be achieved by the peaceful joint mass movement that is conducted on the basis of the seven political parties’ declared goals, program and code of conduct.
9. We would like to thank to all friendly countries and international communities for their solidarity to our peaceful mass movement and we cordially expect their similar cooperation, support and solidarity in the days to come.
10. The New Year 2063 is beginning and the year 2062 is departing forever. On this occasion, we would like to extend our cordial best wishes to all Nepalis for their happiness, peace and prosperity and wish for an end of the autocratic monarchy and establishment of full-fledged democracy in the country.

KG HAS LOST MORAL GROUND TO BE ON THE THRONE.
IN THIS MOVEMENT ONLY HE IS THE LOSER.
HIS DAYS ARE NOW NUMBERED. WITHIN FEW DAYS HE WILL HAVE TO GIVE UP. SOMETIMES HE COMES ON TV WITH SOME FOOLISH IDEA NOT AWARE OF THE FACT THAT EVEN TEENAGER WOULD BE LAUGHING LISTENING HIS WORDS. HE HAS CREATED TRAP FOR HIMSELF. NOBODY CAN HELP THIS FOOLISH MAN DO SOMETHING
GOOD. HE BELEIVES IN CENTURY OLD IDEA WHICH IS NOT ACCEPTABLE TO PEOPLE OF THIS ERE.
Dear Maheshor Shresthaji,
While NESOCA committment and support for the movement is very commendable, I do not know if the way you have portrayed the term “Newar” is correct. I am not Newar but can understand Newari a bit. Many of my close friends are Newars. I hope what you imply “Newar” is not wrongly interpreted as communal issue. This bloody KG has made life of all Nepalese as hell and should be ousted. We also need a united Nepal.
This situation would not have arised only if persons guilty in 2046 were brought to justice. Once the leaders got into power they were too busy making money for themselves through corruption they forget about all these things..People like kamal thapa should have been brought to justice long time ago. If people are not careful all they are fighting for is getting some corrupt leaders in power.
well
well said..we hope the politicians would not repeat the same mistakes and it is our responsibility also to pressurize them to check and balance that these politicians would not shy away what they are promissing right now
Dear all Nepalis,
Glad to see the developments in Nepal. This is the final moment to kick out the obsolote autocratic Monarchy together with all criminar elements from our Society.
Indeed this is the beginning of NEW DAWN IN NEPAL´S HISTORY uniting all Nepalis from all walk of lives, irrespective of cast, creed, ethinicity and color. THIS IS OUR MULTI CULTURED, MULTI ETHNIC, MULTI LINGUEL AND MULTI RELIGIOUS NEW DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF NEPAL.
NEW RAY OF HOPE, NEW VIGOUR FULL OF NEW IDENTITY AS UNITED NEPAL AT 21ST CENTURY.
Now all Nepalis we have to dismantle all old corrupt system, and check, check and double check not to keep old LOOPHOLES INTACT. We have to MAKE NEW CONSTITUTION WORKING TOGETHER PATCHING ALL POSSIBLE DRAWBACKS WHICH HAD BEEN BOGGING US FOR THE LAST 300 YEARS.
JAI NEPAL AND NEPALIS
I think in 2046, there was only half revolution. Now it should go in full scale and we must not accept anything lower than Constituent Assembly. Why newars are too slow to act ?
by the looks of it…i come to believe that for better or worse the king should give in.
and yeah if he does, which i think he will and should, tell me if this wont turn out to be a girija’s democracy or a makuney’s democracy or a prachanda’s manparicracy.
Hey replytoall,
Welcome brother.
In a democracy it is the responsibility of the people to make sure that their elected representatives behave. Hence in a democracy it is in our hands to make sure the mistakes of the past are not repeated.
What a bullShit this is even by Newar Solidarity Campaign Nepal.
What they have done to bring solidarity among the NEWARS. They are just being a Puppet of the f***ing political leaders.
Even those political leaders didnt’ gave right to NEWARS,GURUNGS,MAGARS,THARUS etc.. the other community their some right. In Muncipality people were allowed to use documents in their mother language but some BAHUNS couldn’t stand these decision that other ethnic people can use and understand everything simply. so they made it ILLEGAL to use the mother language (written) in Muncipality(NAGAR PALIKA)and that Newar Solidarity Campaign Nepal couldn’t do anything so the other political parties.
Now they have no SHAME to call us NEWARS(and other ethnic people) in strike because without them this so called general strike won’t be Successful.
And what has that Padma Ratna and Malla K. sundar and f***ing people have done????????????
Just giving simple request to govt.
Why SIDDHARTHA UNIVERSITY isn’t approved till now? After such a long years.
Because most of the leaders are Bahuns and they are HINDUS?
Nothing the Hindus as i respect HINDU GOD.
Just those f***ing leaders.
WHY TO SUPPORT THEM??????????
hello mr. kirat,
no ‘tantra or ‘baad or ‘ism is bad in anyways..be it rajtantra or prajatantra. u might find it really funny but i really like the communist theories as compared to anything else, mind u i said only theroies not practice like we have seen the world over, but u see me here in this blog as one of the stauch supporter of the king even though i dont necessarily agree with the direct rule of the king in any ways.
no i serioulsy do not believe that Nepali people can get rid of a Girija or a Makuney… and it would be wise of you to accept it as well. if not Girija then Sirija or Hirija… somebody is going to come to fill the shoes of todays leaders. i see Gagan Thapa being called the future of the NC… now if a goon like that dude is called the future, i dont see any point in the people eating bullets.
i know that democracy is the best system out there today. but i dont see that being the case in Nepal. well if the proverb the morning shows the day is real then the 12 years has given more than enough hint to show what the day is going to look like.
if the parties win, mind u i am not saying people again, i am saying parties…if they win then we will see the soil of nepal being red with the blood of nepalis or we will be another N Korea. Even though as i said i like the communist ideology i dont want to live in N Korea or Cuba and even China.
i still believe the current king had the right intention but wrong implementation by bringing the same old fags to rule the nation. why is sher bahadur deuba not boycotted by the so called parties and people i dont get it. that guy sold his soul if you think that the king was plaing games. deuba is still the leader of one of the parties who are agitating agianst the king. Girija, is the one who gave the power to the king by sacking deuba from the then united NC making Deuba ta Pm of a democratic nation Nepal with out a party.but anyways digging back wont take us anywhere…but when the “people” still consider them the fighters and leaders of their rights, i dont see where the people are going and where they are coming from. nepal is in the bring of civil war. doctors can afford to go to protests, teachers can, civil servants can, and party people can..cause they have job security and enough money to back them up, but ask the price of this superficial democracy to the dude who sells makai to make a living….
pray for peace and prosperous nepal in the coming year. right now i only pray that god look upon our brave country where the people have the balls to vandalize a post office but wont utter a word against maoist who have caused such a havoc, terror and bad name for our nation.
Dear Editor,
This is not a revolution on the name of Democracy only and do not recall the all Newars painful histories since this Shah King came to Nepal. This my blood is boiling 200 temparature now not only because of this alien kings but also the past leaders made this country totally hell and brought us this situation. So that until those SPA leaders will not in the criminal court,i can say that nowadays of strikes doesn’t make sense to all Newars around the country including me too, totally insane.
I understand your fears about democracy, especially after leaders like, Girija, Deuba etc. And it may seem that we cannot control them…It might be difficult but over time it will be done. I know today’s generation want things to happen quickly…but democracy is one of those things that take time unfortunately. There must be institutions like an impartial and alert judiciary, a free press, an impartial election commission and most of all the public must exercise their rights by protesting all injustices and abuses by the elected representatives. I am sure that given a proper chance a functioning democracy is viable for Nepal, especially as we don’t have a huge population to educate like China or India.
If the Maoists take over Nepal I’m sure they will make it another N. Korea. I am really anti-Maoist not because of their philosophy but because of their actions of the last ten years.
And unfortunately this King is no Lee Kuan Yew..he isn’t even remotely as good as Musharaf.

JAI NEPAL AND NEPALIS
i think NESOCA Nepal missed one big point. that is to ‘put an end to shah kings’ once and for all. under these kings not only newars but all indeginious people suffered for 250 years. its really time for SPA to change their main agenda to “remove the shah kings and afterward decide whatever nepali people like through constitution assembly”. wish you all for new nepal without shah kings.
UWB team, i dont understand why my post is still waiting for moderation. is there any think that scares you or is it my comments itself. i dont think i have used any faul language on my post. i want to know your rule so that i will try to avoid on next post.
None can hide Reality! Do not confuse between ‘Nepali’ and ‘Nepali’
World is watching us !
1. Nepali- is one language so not meant to call whole citizen of Nepal are ‘Nepali’.
2.Nepali- is used to speak among the one ethnic group called them ‘Nepali’ not all ethnic gruops of Nepal who don’t speak Nepali language(epecially norther and southern region) are NOT ‘Nepali’.They are who don’t speak Nepali supposed to call them ‘PEOPLE OF NEPAL’ OR It is fair to call them ‘NEPALESE'(which is international reconized) not Nepali,it sounds extremist word to me. (Even my grand Ma’n Pa dont’ speak Nepali and i do not call them Nepali but of course ‘Nepalese’)
Finally, All the school/universities classes should be run by in English Medium except respective mother tongues(no Nepali or optional only) as ‘FinalSolution’ posted up and recommend that all his requests.
I’m Nepalese (Newa ethnic)not Nepali.
sory no offence but indeed.
I think the time has come to play dirty. Because our ‘King’ won’t respond to kindness.
Time to pull off the gloves now. Time to question his dubious history, time to wonder aloud what really happened on June 1, 2001. Time to wonder if the Shahs are Nepalis or not.
We must do that aloud. We have to have the ‘King’ feel the pinch. Time to get a little personal.
since my previous post is still on pending i am going to post it again.
i think NESOCA Nepal missed one big point. that is to ‘put an end to shaha kings’ once and for all. under these kings not only newars but all indeginious people suffered for 250 years. its really time for SPA to change their main agenda to “remove the shaha kings and afterward decide whatever nepali people like to decide through constitution assembly”. wish you all for new nepal without shaha kings.
manan,
i like you,
this is G-Hangman’s brother friend, he asked me to cover for him while he is in the street busting his ass.
so now onward K-Killer or simply KK is your back-up, contingent team mate.
G-Hangman said there are couple of blog-fighters for the movement here, with whom I have to familiarize myself in the next few days.
The task he set for me is team up with you guys and make sure that Royal people do not bark much around here. I promissed him that I would not fail in this task.
We will do that, together with your help,
yeah, let us take our gloves off and get personal to whoop the Royalists’ asses.
A guy named Pashupati Maharjan, a jyapu Newar, at present is the chief secretary of King Gynendra. He probably is just doing his job in the palace, but, still is a shame for all of the newar community. Just hope that he will be taken care of.
Folks,
Why we are afraid of anybody? Because we don’t trust outselves? Think first yourselves, do you have guts, brain? Are you a human? If you are, then learn to live like one. Try to be a leader yourself, if you can’t then at least try to trust others and also try to use your rights wisely as citizen (saying ‘no’ to everykind of supppression would be a first step).
For the time being we don’t like king and his ASE-PASE, lets throw them out. Then if we don’t like any GIRIJA, MADAV then we will also throw them out. I don’t think we will have to suffer again from the likes of Gacchedar, Gobinda Raj, Khum Bd., K.P, Ishwor Poharel, even Bamdev (he is also not clean, one of the reasons he broke the UML was he was succesful in collecting tons of money when he was Deputy-PM) because based on the ongoing people’s participation, I am of the opinion that young generation would unite and counter all these old leadership. If not, we can orchestrate another mini-demo against them.
Similarly, I don’t think Prachanda and Baburam will come to power. Rememebr, at the begining of all these political commotion, when all parties agreed to make Madav Nepal the P.M.? Who do you think said no to the idea? The big players, U.S, u.K., India etc. As long as U.S. has any interest in Nepal, they wouldn’t let any comunist become P.M. Especially the Republican govt. wouldn’t let that happen. Manmohan was a fluke, because of several factors, Democrats in the White House was one.
So, imagine what will U.S. do to stop Prachanda and Baburam from gaining power?
We, the people, has a clear map- get rid of king’s authoritarian rule. Let us a have a democratic-all powerful govt, a fair election, people in power. Then if Maoist still resorts to the old way, lets get rid of them too. For that to happen, we have to unified again like we are. Or after getting rid of king, under all party govt. we can get rid of maoist and then go for the election.
But don’t say that king was better than Girija and madav. Under king you are living in a jail wihtout any hope of getting any food, you are not allowed to even ‘try’. Under Girija and Madav you were living in TUNDIKHEL and maybe you were hungry but you could go anyhwere any time at your wish and you were allowed to ‘try’.
Under Maoist, you will not only be put in jail hungry, you will have to work too, hard physical work.
Think…imagine…. be human.
Junge,
Good, keep up with the spirit that you show above.
We have been looking for a spirit like yours. There are a couple of more like you are here: Kirat, Manan, Bravo, Vanderveer, Bhudai, etc. My intro is above: I am KK, G-Hangman’s brother, covering for him, while he is chasing the Madalez in the street.
Yeah, what is this Royalist nonesense about? Still have not had enough of KG? He will not last more than a couple of days. He will be in a jail soon. Or, if my brother finds him, he will hang KG. That is why my brother’s name is G-Hangman. But my name is KK, and you know what I will do to him if I happen to see him in the street. Take his liver out and stir fry it. Let us keep fighting against the KG and his “Aase Paase.”
Thanks NESOCA nepal for your statement on current movement. In stage of time most of the people of Nepal are still in confusion to be a part of the movement, specially the people representing the JANAJATI (ethnic) community. Because, the 7 party alliance did not have espressed their clear cut ROAD MAP of the loktantra and inclusiveness of the ethnic community. So we all have to force them to come with clear-cut ROADMAP of the movement with short, medium and long term vision which would be accepted to all.
Basically the Newar community had long history of warrior movement with respect to get their ethnic, cultural, language rights, so they are still curiouse for getting assured LOKTANTRA. Please refer 12 point basic demdnd list presented by “LOKTANTRIK NEWA SHANGHARSHA SAMITI” you can access them above.
Hope every one will express their willingness to establish SAMABESHI LOKTANTRA in Nepal unanimousely.
If this regime as you put it is so dictatorial UWB team, then how come your blog site filled with anti monarchy and hate slogans is not shut down, or your sister organisation Kantipur? A dictatorial regime does not listen to pressure from within or abroad. Case in point Robert Mugabe of Kenya. I dont think we know what is really dictatorial here in this country. If Prachanda comes in he will give you a lesson or two on dictatorship, then you can write – UWB founded in 2004 to go against everything and anything the King says whethter right or debatable, 2— shut down by Prachanda, and reopened to give praise to his path, under direct threat from a shooting squad. BANG! Shot for writing “under direct threat from a shooting squad”.
That’s Robert Mugabe from Zimbabwe and not Kenya.
Working in Nepal, is more safety place than any other places of the world like, many Nepalese working in Iraq. Everyone is proud of their job. Few of Newars mayb woking in the Palace, doen’t mean that all Newars are against the democracy and many Nepali speakers (toungues) are working in the palace, don’t mean that all Nepali are the slave of king. Some guys are suppoerting Girija, don’t mean that all Girija family and his followers Nepali speakers are an IDIOT and slave minded. Everyone has their own bussiness,it is only few people’s madness concept to blame their professionals. People of Nepal have to learn a lot like those fews guys are still lack of BRAIN to move forward (their concept is like their forefathers which was the stone period). I suggest you to think as human minded, not to think below IQ lines.
sl
you are right! If KG is so dictatorial, how UWB can freely post all these anti-KG ststements? In fact there is too much of democracy in Nepal and it is harming the nation. OK guys, when Comrade Prachanda comes to power you same guys will say secretly (because UWB will be no more at that time) that KG-shashan was far better than Prachanda’s iron curtain! I can see the gloomy future now.
Sl and Kalupande’
ever heard of international pressure?, ever heard of Saddam Hussein’ comming out of the rat hole? I think Gyane is smarter than you guys and knows those stuff just good enough to keep walking the tight rope, FYI, what we all plan on doing is keep chipping the rope so he falls…keep out man, he might fall on you two. Not to worry, we’ll take care of the prachende’s kind when the time comes…we’re just warming up.
yo kalupande and that sl guy….
u wonder how can UWB publish blogs against king if there was dictatorship…okey so there is alot democracy for the one who never either felt autocracy or democracy….don’t u know about the sites that are blocked…that http://www.nepalipost.com…and so on…u morons….u shall never understand…..go to some some psycologist my kalupande coz u’re vision to see the future seems very very bad…..u people will never understand the soci-econmic realities in order for a government or a system to survive…..u pathetic senseless persons think u’re guess is the future…..but i can say just a single thing DREAM ON YOUR HIGHNESS DREAM ON………….
modefkingrated again..

Dear Sparshaji,
As an organization of Newar community, our highlighting of Newars is a usual thing. These is nothing communal in doing so. This is just to arouse and bring Newars to the streets that will ultimately contribute to ushering democracy in the country. You are talking about only “bloody KG”, we want to settle our accounts where our independent state was seized 237 years ago. That, we are confident, is possible only in true demcracy, i.e., inclusive democracy, where every ethnic community will enjoy equal status making Nepal a truly unified and united “fulbari”.
To Layman,
Newars are never too late. They are always at the front of any struggle. We have called our fellow beings to come to the streets and fight the autocratic monarchy. Has any ethnic community done this ? Please don’t be offended by my question. This is only contextual.
To BetterNepal,
I have following responses point-wise.
1. We vehemently reject your allegation the Newars are just puppets of the f***ing political leaders. We independent of thier intervention. We invite you to us in f***ing them.
2. NESOCA Nepal was not born when nationality languages were declared illegal for use as official language of local bodies. This is the result of the characteristics of an oppressive state. We don’t blame Bahuns alone.
3. Yes, we are calling our fellow beings to join the ongoing movement for deocracy. We are not ashamed but proud to do so. For, the movement won’t be successful, as you have put, unless all ethnic communities participate in it.
4. Don’t just blame Padma Ratna and Malla K. Sunder. If you are not satisfied with what they did or are doing, you have come forward yourself and do what your want. And your want must be the want of all your community.
5. Siddhartha University is not approved yet because you and the people of your kind never tried to be at the policy making level. Paricipate and have your say where policy is made. Don’t just groan.
6. You respect Hindu Gods and disapprove Hindu Bahuns. Ha ha ! It is quite amusing. And they are in the leadership because you voted them again and again. Bahuns are not wrong. It is you who made them your leaders. Because you don’t believe your own fellow beings.
7. It makes little difference whether you support or oppose them. Change is inevitable. Even change itself cannot resist change that is going to happen.
Talk to you next time.
To Ram Lal Singh,
NESOCA is just an open, apolitical ethnic organization and belongs to all Newars, monarchists and republicans alike. Demand to abolish monarchy is a political demand. There are political forums to put forth this demand. Thanks anyway for suggestion.
Good on you Mr. Shrestha. Very good answers to all those questions. With such good leadership as you show the Newar community is in good hands. I hope to hear more good things about you.
To Neil Maharjan,
I differentiate with you on your understanding of the word NEPALI. Nepali is the adjective form and the people of Nepal. It is not the name of any particular language. Nepal Bhasa is also a Nepali language. The language which you are taught to understand as Nepali is Khasa language.
Nepali and Nepalese are interchangeable are widely accepted now. The adjective form of a noun depends on the convenience of the users. The adjective forms of Afghanistan and Pakistan are Afghastani and Pakistani and not Afghanistanese and Pakistanese.
Hello Mangal Man,
