Victory rallies organized around the country. People warn of dire consequences if anyone dares to go against the Parliament Declaration
Tens of thousands of jubilant Nepali people Friday participated in victory rallies organized around the country to celebrate Thursday’s historic Parliament Proclamation. While celebrating the achievement, they were cautious about possible fight back by the regressive elements. “But it will be very hard for them to go against the Parliament proclamation that reflects the popular wish,” said Padma Raj Lamichhane, 53, who teaches in a University in Kathmandu. Meena Koirala, a 20-year-old student-turned-political activist was dancing happily in a mass meeting in Ratna Park this afternoon where five thousand people had gathered to mark the victory day. They were singing songs satirizing king Gyanendra whose wings were cut off by the parliament. “I am very happy today,” she (pic above and below) said after emerging out of the crowd. “But this fight should continue until we have democratic republicanism in Nepal.” She was confident that no one will dare to go against the Parliament Declaration.

People destroyed the statue of king Manendra in Chaubish Kothi of Bharatpur (Chitwan) while celebrating the victory. After destroying the statue, they threw the remaining in Narayani River. Students who did that said that statues of martyrs will be made on that place.

If I myself as a Swiss or anybody else deposits today more than 25000sfr at a Bank in Switzerland, the Bank will automatically ask for the origin of the money, the depositor has to sign its origin and the bank reports if any doubt about its legality.
I know many Nepali in Switzerland and doubt if any of them would have access to a Gyanendra- anonymous account. To divert money from Nepal to Switzerland in large amount is only possible through a bank transfer nowadays, you cannot travel with a bag of Nrs or $, you will be cought at the next airport. And such a money transfer can be traced easily.
So, it is easiest to get that money out to India.

I have been living in USA for the last twenty years. I have always hated the criminals of the palace-the shah families. NEPAL SHOULD BE A FULL REPUBLIC; THE KING SHOULD BE MADE A NORMAL NEPALI CITIZEN AND THEN HUNG.
There is one thing which strikes me the most; what made the parliament declare Nepal as a secular country???????
People are celebrating the VICTORY and I am most happy too but I am shocked to see how little Nepali people know about the global geo-political structure.
Nepal has been freed from one demon but it is caught in the hands of a greater danger.
I do not like BJP and I have nothing to do with Indian politics. But declaring Nepal as a secular country is a CULTURAL SUICIDE. Nepal has invited its trouble, the same problem that India and Pakistan are going through.
At this time Nepal is totally surrounded by Muslim fundamentalists. They will make Nepal a graveyard in 10-15 years if Nepali people do not submit to them and convert into Muslim religion. they have spread all over the world with the same slogan. This declaration of secularism is going to benefit ONLY TO THEM and is going to destory our heritage. The most harm will be done to the indiginous ethnic cultures. Muslims and christians only GOAL IS TO CONVERT AND SPREAD and nepal’s people’s ignorance is a great boon to them.
Our leaders have deceived us.
Now, MMuslims will destroy Nepal’s culture as they have done to all lands over the centuries.
SECULARISM PROMOTES ONLY THE MUSLIMS AND CHRISTIAN MISSINARIES. They have already planted their roots at the heart of Kathmandu and now are expanding their oil money to convert people.

Any rule made by the illegal parliament is illegal and will be null and void eventually.
Unless there is a fresh election of the parliament, this parliament has no legal basis to exist.
This secular state issue must be discussed by the elected CA.If the majority of CA wants Nepal to be Hindu Rashtra, it can be done. So we should be liberal. All issues will be settled by CA.
