After the declaration of restoration of democracy, I ask the new government to take the King to good mental hospital in London or New York for good check up. I hope that all of you will understand my proposal.But the money for treatment should be borne by his own pocket rather than from late King Birendra’s money he inherited.Late birendra’s money should be given to his grand daughters.They are the only decendents of late birendra.
New government should immediately declare the Government as Government of Nepal and all Embassies abroad should be named Nepal Embassy not Royal Nepalese Embassy.The National Anthem should be replaced by RAATO RA CHANDRA SURYA.All names pertainig to the King and Crown Prince in the name of colleges and Universities, parks, monuments should be changed to the names of the Martyres.Only the King should be called by Sree Paanch.
In the offices, one should call others by Tapain not Hajur even he is a boss. Actually, Hajur language should be completely banned in the offices and public meetings.
Is Hajur a Rana/Shah thing? I was not aware…
This language is raising diffrent strata of people in the society. Like saying Darshan instead of Namaskar or Namaste is Samanti or feudal charactor.In your house you can say anything you like but I said in the public office or public meetings etc. Because it is increasing CHAKARI pratha in Nepal. I am of the opinion that in the Office a Peon should be addressed Tapain by the Hakim and Peon should also say Tapain to the Hakim.
Panditji, this will create equality among the people. There are five types of Nepali language at present in Nepal.
1. Tan to the juniors or inferiors.
2. Timi to the friends, wife etc.
3. Tapain formally to anybody when you are introduced and in general circumstances.
4. Hajur le khanu bho etc.(Pande boli)
5. Hajur sukala hoibakshyo, Jaaga hoibakshyo.Royal Family and some Rana and Chhetris using it.
The present problem in Nepal is also about different layers in the society. In English language there is only one form of address that is: You. The use of Thau has become already obsolete.Nobody uses it.
The whole problem started in Nepal because that present King thinks himself as incarnation of Bishnu. I think what is the difference between the King and Basu Ghimire who was killed today in Kalanki as human beings ? There is nothing. I have heard people saying SARKAR and PRABHU to the Royal people.
So by proposing the change in the language, we can promote equality among us.I hope Panditji you will understand my point.If we had done this in 1990, we would have changed the attitude of the people. We need social revolution first and seconly we need political revolution in Nepal.There is so many castes and creed in Nepal and so much of discrimination among people that it is almost impossible to remove it.In Bramins, there are two types: Upadhay and Kumain. Tiniharuko Bhancha chaldiana ahile pani kati thauma.There are many types of Chhetris.Sarki will not eat food cooked by Damain. But the recent trend is that Bi. Ka. is marrying a bahun girl and vice versa. Otherwise,there would be no national integration.
If you meet Mr. Bush in the corridor in the US, you can just say how are you Mr. President. But if you meet the King in Nepal, what exactly you have to address you do not know. I mean, an average Nepali does not know.That I wanted to tell you. Thanks.
The language change you mention has already happened in the Maoist base areas.

good points….there are many other things which are deep rooted in our caste and class based socities, which looks petty , but has played very crucial roles in nurturing and favoring the medivial ruling classes.

CURRENT DEVELOPMENT: According to latest news that the King almost not agreed to India formula which was given by Dr. Karan Singh. The formula was:
1. Interim government, PM appointed by SPA not King and interim government within SPA.
2. Restore the parliament.
3. Internment government deal with Maoist and participate them in government.
4. Finally Constitutional Assembly.
KING CONCERN: It seems he is not keen to agree that India proposal. Because of he want to form the government with is appointment of PM and no more C.A. Therefore now he plays the HINDU card and invites the Jaswant Singh.
CONCLUSION: If he accepts the C.A. he will go (later or soon) if he didn’t accept any other option he has to go by the people’s power. There is news also that, US want he will go to exile in Hawaii same place as Marcos of Philippines.
