Bloody conflict in Nepal: Images from Palpa clash: 12 securitymen and 18 Maoists died in the incident.

Side Effects of the Conflict: She is Sita Dhakal, 10, of Parena VDC-5, Kopche. She lost consciousness after the fighting erupted in her neighborhood with huge sounds of explosions and firing in the border of Palpa and Arghakhanchi districts. She was back to consciousness only in the evening but sh eis not behaving normally as of Wednesday. As the fighting started, her mother Uma Dhakal said, all members of the family started crying but Sita didn’t express anything. She then lost consciousness. Everyone in the family was happy as she regained consciousness. Maoists attacked security personnel hiding behind Sita’s house.
Journalists tried to speak with Sita Dhakal but she didn’t speak a word. Her grandmother Bhumakala Dhakal, right, thinks that it would take Sita a few days to get back to normalcy.

Fallen Soldiers. The local security body in Palpa, according to the Kathmandu Post, has confirmed the death of 12 security personnel in an encounter with Maoist rebels in Chhahara Tingire of west Palpa and Padena VDC of Arghakhachi districts on Tuesday. However, Royal Nepalese Army (RNA), in a statement issued on Wednesday said that 11 security personnel, including a policeman, were killed in the clash. It also claimed it has found 18 dead bodies of rebels till date. The search operation is still continuing. Dead bodies of 11 security personnel in Padena VDC were seen lying on the main road till 11 am on Wednesday.

What does the two Chairman want? Bloodshed…The Chairman who is in jungle acts unpredictably and shows little accountability…but the Chairman who is now ruiling and reining Nepal is also the same…Both Chairman are totalitarians…Does Chairman Shah and Chairman Prachanda have any regard for those innocents killed in conflict???????
According to Janadesh Weekly, 28 February issue, the Maoist’s mouthpiece, the spokesperson of the Western Command Headquarters Ramesh Chand has claimed to have killed 20 security personell and wounded scores of others. He has also claimed to have captured some weapons including a MINIMI GPMG, a 2″ Mortar, 6 M-16 riffles, 90 bags and thousands of rounds of ammunition from the site.
He has stated the loss of 8 PLA members against 18 as claimed by the RNA.
Similarly, a platoon of Bethan Memorial Brigade launched an attack on the army patrol at Khabre Bhangyang on 27 Feb which left 3 RNA men dead. The brigade commissar Biswo and Commander Biswojit in their statement have claimed to have captured 3 INSAS riffles, 1,162 rounds of ammunition, 25 magazines, 4 M-36 and hand grenades. They have claimed no causalty on their side.
The conflicting claims by the PLA and RNA is yet to be verified independently.

Maoist must be removed asap out of nepali political scene.

The plight of children affected by the conflict is very disheartening. The perpetrators are should be condemned. They will be accountable for the history.
But there are somethings even we can do. And it’s wise and responsible that we do that.
— The story of Sita Dhakal that has been given disheartens me. It is medically a case of acute stress disorder. It is in the best interest of her that the memory not be revived, at least during the immediate period. The gentleman/woman on the photograph seems to be trotting a voice recorder to recount the story. Even a common sense humanity should suffice to prohibit from such actions.
— Our journalists friends seem to have a notion that the more heroic photographs they can show better is their presentation. The photographs of dead soldiers that is shown here is sickening even to an adult like me, what for children? Even if they give it — they can specify a choice to see by labeling as ” photographs depicting violence”
So there are things that can be done by us as well.
I would be happy if Wagle ji changes these photographs or else gives a justification to my propositions.
this was really bad and upsetting new . The people of nepal should unite against maoist rebels I suppose if PRACHANDA and BABURAM childrens would have been killed as above, then it would have hurt them
